HELP IN MANY LANGUAGES
Our counselors speak multiple languages, and we work with LGBTQi+ sensitive interpreters to ensure you get the support you need.
SPECIALIZED SUPPORT CENTER – KUCHUS
Kuchus is the best way to get in touch with us. No appointment needed – just drop by!
We help you with:
- Getting oriented in Berlin
- Finding LGBTQi+ friendly lawyers, doctors, and therapists
- Advice on housing and accommodation
- Information on social benefits, language courses, education, and leisure activities
If needed, we can schedule follow-up appointments with you.

LEGAL COUNSELING FOR LGBTQi+ REFUGEES
We offer confidential legal advice on asylum procedures, including:
- Preparing for your interview with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF)
- Sexual orientation and gender identity as reasons for asylum
- Asylum procedures (including Dublin Regulation and legal protections)

PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING FOR LGBTQi+ REFUGEES
We provide confidential support for mental health concerns, including:
- The feeling of loneliness, sadness, or being overwhelmed
- Struggling with painful memories
- Having nightmares or trouble sleeping
- Using alcohol or other substances to cope
If needed, we can arrange psychological therapy or refer you to services tailored to LGBTQi+ refugees.
